Rock my Religion and The Girl in The W13 T-Shirt: Dan Graham and Katie Hare chosen by Lizzy Rose

A screening of artists films from Dan Graham the renowned American artist and an emerging British artist Katie Hare at the Tom Thumb Theatre. Dan Graham's Rock My Religion is a provocative film on the relation between religion and rock music in American contemporary culture. The film is populated by punk and rock performers such as Patti Smith, Jim Morrison, Black Flag and Glenn Branca, as well as historical figures including Ann Lee, founder of the Shakers. Katie Hare's work The Girl with the W13 T-Shirt examines the rituals we perform and subcultures we align ourselves with in a bid to assign meaning to our lives.
